Bill and Declan from DVF will shortly be attending the WIT final year exhibition for the 4 year degree design programme, and awarding the usual 3 month internships to two lucky and deserving candidates.
DVF are very proud to have been involved in this internship programme for the last 6 years. When we were approached by the Institute in the middle of the recession looking for our help, we were delighted to be in a position to do so.
The students found it most difficult to find employment upon graduation as there were so many experienced designers also looking for work. To have 3 months experience on their CV’s, in a well-established design and print facility, where the owners have a combined 60+ years in the graphics industry has been of huge value to graduates. They also benefit from having two referees’ in the DVF directors, who can answer any queries prospective employers may have.
We are in regular contact with many of our previous interns, and are very proud of their achievements around the world, and of our small involvement in helping to start off their careers. It’s nice to be able to give back something to the community locally.
